" Another spring will soon be rolling around and Boston is getting ready once again to celebrate art during the most colorful and lively season of the year. All kinds of mediums and styles are represented at this year’s best art events and the venues vary from parks to prestigious museums. Artists of all types can find something to do with the public and the public can enjoy a wide variety of artists. Pick an event or several and enjoy festivals and displays around the city.

Anyone who has appreciated a professionally manicured garden can attest that tending and arranging decorative plants is an art form. The lilacs of the Arnold Arboretum come in more than 100 types, though it is impossible to mistake the cluster of delicate flowers that droop from every one of the more than 300 lilac bushes in bloom on Lilac Sunday. They are arranged in a highly aesthetic fashion, allowing space for guests to sit between the bushes and enjoy the fragrance that emanates from them.
