Golf Partners Brady, Manning Win Private Match At Pebble Beach
" BOSTON (CBS) — For much of the early part of the 2000s, the story of Tom Brady’s career was rooted largely in his triumphs over Peyton Manning and the Colts. Yet now, years later, Manning has a Super Bowl victory of his own and is on the Broncos, and the two best quarterbacks in the game for the last decade-plus have come to form a bit of a mutual appreciation society.

And they’ve also formed a golf partnership.

Sports Illustrated’s Monday Morning Quarterback noted on Wednesday that Brady and Manning played together in a “very private round of golf” this summer before their training camps began. The duo went up against two businessmen named Ed and Sam, who probably were not two of the best businessmen who ever lived.

Yet Sam and Ed led after 16 holes, before Brady — as he typically does — excelled in the clutch "
