Goodell: ‘Proud The Patriots Took Decisive Action’ With Hernandez Arrest
" BOSTON (CBS) – Though devastated by the news, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was proud of the New England Patriots for the way they handled the Aaron Hernandez arrest this summer.

“To think that anyone involved with the National Football League, whether it be a player or anybody else, could be involved in these circumstances is deeply troubling and does have an impact on the shield,” Goodell said Thursday on ESPN Radio’s Mike and Mike. “That’s why I am proud the Patriots took decisive action. It is now a matter for the courts for the criminal activity.”

Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Odin Lloyd back on June 26 "
