" Gresh and Zolak were joined Wednesday afternoon by Patriots safety Steve Gregory. With linebacker Jerod Mayo out for the season, Gregory has assumed the job as a defensive leader – earning the green dot on the helmet to be able to communicate with the sideline. Gregory touched on this new role with Gresh & Zo.

“I play a position where I need to understand what the [defensive] front is doing anyway, so it just makes me more a communicator as far as calling a defense for the guys that are out there,” said Gregory. “It’s really not that big of a deal for me. All our guys are capable of making calls and calling defenses, so it was just one of those things.”
