Life just got a little easier for Ninkovich on the defensive line.
“We got the best corner in the league coming in,” Ninkovich told reporters of Revis at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday. “That’s always a good thing for a defensive end like myself, just give me a little bit more time and I’ll be happy to use that.”
It’s scary to think what Ninkovich could do with a little bit more time when getting after the quarterback. He’s tallied eight sacks in each of the last two seasons, and racked up a new career-high 91 combined tackles in 2013.
Now, Revis will be lining up behind him ready to shut down the opposition’s passing game. Ninkovich doesn’t know what the Patriots will have the Pro Bowl corner do when next season rolls around, but he knows that Revis can pretty much do anything on the defensive side of the ball.
