Report: Patriots Called Eagles Regarding DeSean Jackson
" BOSTON (CBS) — The “arms race” in the AFC is far from over.

According to CSN Philly’s Derrick Gunn, the Eagles have taken some phone calls from teams interested in acquiring wide receiver DeSean Jackson. And of those teams, according to the report, was New England.

The report was clear to state that the Eagles are not “actively shopping” Jackson but are nevertheless answering calls and engaging in discussions with teams, including the 49ers as well.

The price tag for Jackson would be a third-round pick “and potentially more,” according to the report.

Jackson is due to make $10.25 million this season "
