Report: Patriots’ Mayo Undergoes Surgery, May Miss Rest Of Season
" BOSTON (CBS)  - Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo underwent surgery on Tuesday and could miss the rest of the regular season, according to a report.

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Les Carpenter, Mayo underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle he suffered in the fourth quarter of New England’s comeback win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

The injury could leave the Patriots without their Pro Bowl linebacker for the rest of the season, Carpenter reports, citing two sources.

Mayo, who was once again named a team captain prior to this season, leads the team with 35 solo tackles and 55 total tackles this season "
