Wilfork On Wade Fouling Rondo: ‘Oh Man, That’s A Fine’ In The NFL
" BOSTON (CBS) — With concussions becoming a major concern in the NFL, and with general player safety at the forefront of the league’s focus, it’s been made clear over the past few years that any contact with an opponent’s head will almost certainly result in a 15-yard penalty and perhaps a fine from the league office.

So you can imagine Vince Wilfork’s surprise when Rajon Rondo got hit in the head and face by a flailing Dwyane Wade in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday night, only to see no referee call a foul.

“Oh man,” Wilfork said when asked specifically about the play. “That’s a fine out here.”

Wilfork has become a regular attendee at Celtics home games, and he used the term “we” on Thursday to describe the team.

“I couldn’t believe we blew a 15-point lead,” he said of the Celtics’ Game 2 loss. “That’s heartbreaking. But they’re fighting hard, they fight real hard. I still have faith. Hopefully we can pull two away at home and get it back to even "
