Boston Preliminary Election Voting Information
" BOSTON (CBS) — Boston’s preliminary election is Tuesday, September 24.

The top two vote getters in the mayor’s race, top eight vote getters for City Councilor At-Large and the top two vote getters for District City Council will progress to the final Municipal Election on Tuesday, November 5.

Turnout is expected to be strong as Boston voters choose a successor to long-serving mayor Thomas Menino.

Menino announced in March that he would not seek re-election.

The polls are open from 7 a.m "
