Capuano: I Won’t Run For Mass. Governor
" BOSTON (AP) — Democratic U.S. Rep. Michael Capuano has decided not to run for governor.

Capuano had been considering a bid, but announced Thursday that after talking to his family, he’s decided against entering the 2014 campaign.

In a statement, Capuano said he believes he can best serve the state by remaining in Congress, where he said he can be “a strong voice for progressive policies in Washington.”

Capuano’s decision comes weeks after Attorney General Martha Coakley announced her candidacy. Capuano lost to Coakley in the Democratic primary in the 2010 special U.S "
