Scott Brown Promoted To Colonel In National Guard
" BOSTON (CBS/AP) – Senator Scott Brown has been promoted to colonel in the National Guard.

His colonel insignia were pinned to his uniform during a ceremony in Washington Wednesday by Arizona Senator John McCain.

Brown has been in the National Guard for more than thirty years, most recently as a lieutenant colonel.

“As a soldier, I’m privileged to serve alongside the very best men and women our nation has to offer. Their devotion, service and sacrifice on behalf of our country is unmatched. I look forward to continuing to serve in my role as Assistant to the Chief Counsel in the National Guard Bureau,” Brown said in a statement "
