" BOSTON (CBS) – ┬áDaniel Bard’s third minor league appearance went a lot better than his first two, with the former Red Sox starter hurling two scoreless innings in relief for the Pawtucket Red Sox Thursday night against the Buffalo Bison.

Bard pitched the seventh and eighth inning for the PawSox, striking out four and walking one. Bard issued a free-pass to Fred Lewis, the first batter he faced in the seventh, but quickly erased him with a 5-4-3 double play "
