David Ortiz Is Red Sox Lone AL All-Star, Will Start At DH
" BOSTON (CBS) – Red Sox star David Ortiz has been voted as the starting designated hitter for the American League at the 2012 MLB All-Star Game.

Ortiz, 36, is having one of best seasons of his career. He leads the team with 21 home runs and 53 RBI to go with a .305 batting average.

This will be Ortiz’s eighth appearance at the Mid-Summer Classic, and the first time as the team’s lone representative "
