" BOSTON (CBS) — The reported interest from the Los Angeles Dodgers in Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez turned out to be true, as L.A. claimed Gonzalez on waivers on Friday afternoon.

The news was first reported by Bill Shaikin of The Los Angeles Times, and it was later confirmed by Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

With Gonzalez being claimed, the Red Sox have three options. They can negotiate a trade with the Dodgers, though any player involved would have to clear waivers "
