Ellsbury Plans On Playing Thursday After Leaving Wednesday’s Win
" BOSTON (CBS) – Jacoby Ellsbury left Wednesday night’s win over the Orioles in the top of the eighth inning after fouling a pitch off his right foot the inning before, but the Red Sox center fielder said he doesn’t plan on missing any time.

“I plan on being in there tomorrow,” Ellsbury said following Boston’s 4-3 come from behind win over Baltimore.

X-Rays after the game were negative, but manager John Farrell said his leadoff man will be re-examined on Thursday.

Ellsbury, who wears a shin guard on his right ankle,  remained in the game after fouling a Francisco Rodriguez offering off his right foot. He was checked by Farrell and the team trainer at the plate and remained in the game, and reached base on an infield single "
