Gresh & Zo: Will Clay Buchholz Ever Regain Form?
" BOSTON (CBS) –  With no Jon Lester and John Lackey under contract for 2015, the Red Sox may have to rely on Clay Buchholz to give them more in 2015.

If that’s the case, the Sox may be in trouble according to Andy Gresh and Mike Flynn. After giving up seven earned runs in five innings Sunday night against the Yankees, the right-hander now sports the worst ERA among starters with a minimum of 100 innings pitched.

Gresh and Flynn discussed everything Buchholz on 98.5 The Sports Hub Gresh & Zolak show and questioned whether can be relied upon going forward.

“The issue I have with him is that if you want to elevate yourself to be a leader of a staff, to I guess be the lead dog and the ace, there’s a couple things that bother me. First off physically: he’s just not there,” said Flynn. “With Lester, that guy was an ace. The guy pitched 200 innings; he got his starts, and he was there every fifth day. Buchholz is never going to do that. Second part of it is being mentally tough. I mean OK, nobody’s perfect "
