Red Sox Activate SS Stephen Drew, Send Holt To Pawtucket
" BOSTON (CBS/AP) — The Boston Red Sox activated shortstop Stephen Drew from the disabled list and optioned third baseman Brock Holt to Triple-A Pawtucket before the team’s game Saturday against the New York Yankees.

Drew, hitting .233 with five homers and 31 RBIs, missed 16 games because of a strained right hamstring. He is in Saturday’s starting lineup, playing shortstop and batting eighth. Drew, 30, completed a two-game rehab assignment with Double-A Portland on Friday, going 2-for-7 (.286) with one double and one RBI in those contests.

Defensively, Drew has made only three errors in 279 total chances at shortstop, and his .989 fielding percentage leads all AL players at that position.

Holt hit .290 (9 for 31) with eight RBIs in 10 games with the Red Sox "
