Red Sox’ Ortiz Makes 9th All-Star Team
" BOSTON (CBS) – David Ortiz is off to ninth All-Star game later this month.

Ortiz was the one of three members of the Red Sox named to the American League squad on Saturday for the mid-summer classic in New York.

This will be Ortiz’s fourth straight All-Star game, and marks the seventh time he has made the team as a starter.¬†Ortiz, 37, received 6,226,301 votes through the fan ballot, the fifth-most among AL players.

Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia and starting pitcher Clay Buchholz were also named as All-Stars on Saturday night. Buchholz, who is injured, is unlikely to play in the game "
