Red Sox Sign Wade Miley To 3-Year Contact Extension
" BOSTON (CBS) — The Boston Red Sox avoided salary arbitration with one of their newest starters on Thursday, agreeing to a three-year extension with Wade Miley.

The deal also includes a club option for 2018.

Boston acquired Miley from the Diamondbacks on December 12, sending right-handed pitchers Rubby De La Rosa and Allen Webster and infielder Raymel Flores to Arizona.

Last season, the 28-year-old Miley led the Diamondbacks and ranked 12th among National League pitchers with 183 strikeouts over 201.1 innings pitched "
