" BOSTON (AP) — Red Sox reliever Matt Thornton left Sunday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the eighth inning with an apparent injury.

The left-hander had just thrown an 0-2 pitch to Didi Gregorius when catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, manager John Farrell and a team trainer came jogging out to the mound. No information was immediately available on the nature of the injury "
