Report: Red Sox Talking With Tino Martinez As Hitting Coach
" BOSTON (CBS) -Ben Cherington said Wednesday the Red Sox are considering hiring two hitting coaches for the 2013 season.

According to reports, they might already have half of equation taken care of.

ESPNBoston’s Joe McDonald is reporting the Red Sox have had preliminary talks with former Yankees slugger Tino Martinez to join his former rival as a hitting coach.

Martinez played 16 Major League seasons with the Seattle Mariners, Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays. He clubbed 339 home runs in his career, and won the 1997 Silver Slugger award after batting .296 with 44 home runs and driving in 141 runs.
