Report: Red Sox Trying To Host Notre Dame-UConn Football Game At Fenway Park
" BOSTON (CBS) — Fenway Park has been home to baseball, concerts, ice hockey and futbol in recent years, but it could soon be home to football, too.

According to The Boston Globe’s Peter Abraham, the Red Sox are in talks to host a football game between Notre Dame and the University of Connecticut in 2014.

The report states that discussions are in the early stages, but “UConn officials feel the idea has merit and Notre Dame may be willing to shift a home game to Boston.”

However, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick released a statement Tuesday denying the report.

“However, media reports today that we will play Connecticut in Fenway Park in 2014 are inaccurate,” Swarbrick said "
